Sanctuary of truth, locally known as ‘Prasat Sut Ja-Tum’, is a very nice place in Pattaya, Thailand. The construction work of this place has been started in recent years, and in January 2013, it was still under construction. The whole place has an ancient, and mysterious touch which attracted me a lot. This place is far away from Pattaya city, and I had to go there by taxi (no public transport was available) .
The entry fee was 500 baht, which seemed very high. And I had to pay 300 baht to go there by taxi as well. :/
The sanctuary looks like something out of the world, like something from horror movie. I really liked the view from outside. But when I went inside, there was nothing much special. Still the craftsmanship was admirable.
There were free guides (student) who would approach you, and offer you free guide to the sanctuary. They were very helpful with all the info, and didnt ask for any tips.
At the time when I went there (January 2013), some part of the sanctuary was still under construction, so we all had to put on helmet provided there.
There were cultural shows that began at 11 AM, and 3 PM. You should not miss the cultural show, as the show price was included in the entry fee. So, it’s better to plan ahead.
Date traveled: 30th January 2013.
